Summary/Abstract: This study analyzes engineering students' preferences for AI and digital tools in learning technical vocabulary. Descriptive statistics and qualitative analysis of 84 open‑ended responses reveal heavy reliance on AI chatbots, regular use of videos and translation tools, and concerns about accuracy, access/cost, and discipline‑specific coverage. Findings are interpreted through vocabulary acquisition and AI‑in‑education research (e.g., Nation, 2013; Schmitt, 2008; Coxhead, 2000; Hyland & Tse, 2007; Zawacki‑Richter et al., 2019) and inform a set of design recommendations for domain‑aware, verified, and equitable AI‑supported vocabulary learning.
