Summary/Abstract: This article examines two feminist interventions for access to abortion: the Canadian Abortion Caravan of 1970 and the Polish Abortion Patrol of 2023. Despite being separated by more than half a century and thousands of kilometres, as well as differing in their broader strategy for action for access (right) to abortion, these interventions share commonalities that can be identified through analysis. The two case studies were used to identify useful descriptive categories and suggest directions of analysing such feminist interventions. These categories include: the logic of protest; emotions; performativity; carnivalisation; visibility; mediatisation; civil disobedience; interactive vandalism; and, finally, “feminist killjoy”.
