Summary/Abstract: This paper explores the impact of social networks on the contemporary educational context of children and adolescents, with particular emphasis on the pedagogical challenges of their integration into formal education. A review-based methodological approach was employed, analyzing relevant scholarly sources in order to capture the complexity of the relationship between digital culture and educational practices. Findings indicate that social networks exert multifaceted effects on students—while they contribute to the development of digital competencies, they simultaneously pose risks such as addiction, cyberbullying, and reduced attention span. Special consideration is given to the position of teachers, who face challenges related to insufficient digital literacy, ethical dilemmas, and the demand for continuous professional development. The study highlights the need for systemic reforms that would foster the development of digital responsibility. It further recommends conducting empirical research into the perceptions of students, teachers, and parents on this topic.
