Summary/Abstract: This paper presents an overview of recent archaeological investigations conducted at several Late Medieval necropolises with stećci (medieval tombstones) in the area of Central Bosnia , mainly around Travnik (Klisa, Gajani, Ovnak, Obišenjak, Mašeta, Glavica), as well as at the localities of Kopošići, Divičani, Metaljica-Vilovac, Stupić, Arnautovići, and Markov kamen. The research was conducted primarily as protective or preliminary investigations (e.g., Klisa, Ovnak, Kopošići) , and largely as part of a project studying the genetic characteristics of the medieval Bosnian population (Genetic Characteristics of the Inhabitants of Medieval Bosnia).
