Anica Savić Rebac on Njegoš

Summary/Abstract: The paper singles out elements in which the understanding of the history of ideas that Anica Savić Rebac had either coincides or diverges from the understanding of history in our time. It is illustrated how the methodological awareness of our historian of ideas shaped the research background of her analyses of Njegoš’s verses, while the spiritual awareness of these analyses was determined by its essentially classic sensibility. This allowed her to achieve exceptional results in shedding light on the ideas of Njegoš’s poetry. The paper also points to those places in her analyses where Njegoš’s poetic experience went beyond methodological and spiritual origins of Anica Savić Rebac.
