Summary/Abstract: This article examines the fundamental rights of both natural and legal persons in the European Union regarding the freedom of movement, right of establishment, and provision of services. It outlines the conditions for short- and long-term residence, the legal framework governing access to the economic markets of Member States, and the specific regulations applicable to the practice of law in another Member State. Directive 2006/123/EC, along with sectoral directives, ensures the exercise of these rights without discrimination and facilitates the recognition of professional qualifications, thereby strengthening the functioning of the internal market while safeguarding the principle of non-discrimination.
