Summary/Abstract: Important personalities of the Romanian Orthodox Theology in Transylvania during the interwar period, Saint Liviu Galaction Munteanu, recently canonized, and Fr. Florea Mureșanu, were also two victims of the Communist regime. Both of them died in Aiud prison after facing different tortures. We have tried there to bring to attention an important aspect of their life and activity, namely their friendship, whose most important moment is related to the refusal of each one of them to testify against the other. Based on notes offered by Fr. Ioan Bunea, who was also imprisoned by Communists, but also on other sources, we tried to offer the reader a glimpse of the image of their friendship and to invite them to meditate on aspects like virtue and respect for principles.
