Summary/Abstract: In this article, the author tries to talk about the dynamics of pastoral care for the elderly. The text highlights how the Romanian Orthodox Church has seen, understood and stimulated this aspect and the main aspects that have defined it throughout history. At the same time, the emphasis is on how the sacrament of confession can be used to improve the lives of the elderly and to increase their standard of living. Based on the principles suggested by the Italian psychiatrist Giacomo Dacquino and the theologian Teofil Tia, the author presents six potential ways of intervention that can be used in the field.
