Escape Routes

Summary/Abstract: The Tamási Áron Theatre in Sfântu Gheorghe has been organizing showcases for many years, so that viewers would have the opportunity to see or revisit the best performances of the season. The event is usually surrounded by great professional interest, as it is always good to get a glimpse into the work of one of the best theatre laboratories in Transylvania. One of the highlights of the most current edition, held between December 5 and 11, 2025, was the staging of Ionesco’s Rhinoceros, a production created to mark the 40th anniversary of the Figura Stúdió Theatre of Gheorghen, as a joint production of the two companies. Ildikó Bálint reports on this performance and three others seen at the showcase.
