Summary/Abstract: In a context marked by profound systemic transformations – digitalisation, ecological transition, demographic changes and the crisis in traditional employment – the right to training plays a decisive role in ensuring effective and dignified access to work. This paper focuses on the Italian case to analyse, from a labour law perspective, how initial, continuing and professional training pathways can (or should) be made fully accessible and inclusive for people with disabilities. Starting from the assumption that training is a right that enables employment and a tool for personal empowerment, the essay examines the recent regulatory innovations introduced in Italy by Legislative Decree 62/2024 (implementing Delegated Law No. 227/2021), with particular reference to personalised life plans, the obligation to provide reasonable accommodation and the principle of cultural and digital accessibility. The centrality of inclusive design in training is emphasised, particularly in corporate and digital contexts and in culturally intensive sectors. The work concludes by highlighting virtuous practices and legal instruments capable of promoting the effective participation of people with disabilities in training processes and, through them, in the changing labour market.
