Summary/Abstract: This text is a review by Fr. Alexandru Nan of the volume "The Spiritual Value of Old Age", edited by Protos. Ioan Popoiu. Published to mark the 2023 Homage Year of the Pastoral Care of the Elderly, the book compiles online conferences organized by the Romanian Orthodox diaspora in Germany. The contributors rigorously explore aging through multiple lenses: spiritual fatherhood, patristic theology, medical psychiatry, and the Egyptian Patericon. Accompanied by insightful prefaces and interviews, the volume offers an authentic Christian perspective on the profound spiritual significance of aging, highlighting how to overcome the fear of death through faith in Christ.
