Summary/Abstract: This text presents a review of the book "The Monastery 'Saint Elijah from the Spring'. Shepherds of souls (1905-2007)" authored by Ioanichie Petrică and Ionel Vucescu. The reviewer highlights the volume's essential role in preserving the history of Banat monasticism by providing a comprehensive account of the lives of four prominent spiritual fathers: Macarie Gușcă, Vinchentie Mălău, Calistrat Bobu, and Ieronim Stoican. Utilizing archival data, personal recollections, and historical photographs, the authors successfully compile an authentic "Vasiova Patericon". Emphasizing their missionary zeal and ascetic life, this well-structured work is highly recommended for readers interested in profound Orthodox spirituality.
