Summary/Abstract: The objective of this study is to explore the motivations and attitudes associated with artificial intelligence across different generational groups. During the research, the psychometric properties of two measurement scales (AIMS and ATAI-25) were examined, and variations based on age and other background variables were analyzed. Results from the sample (N=483) indicate significant generational differences: younger age groups reported higher digital and AI-related proficiency and more active usage, whereas older generations were characterized by lower competence levels and less trust. Parental education level was also found to correlate with trust in artificial intelligence: higher maternal and paternal education levels were associated with lower levels of trust, suggesting that respondents from higher educational backgrounds approach AI-generated content more critically. Factor and reliability analyses confirmed the strong internal consistency and stable dimensional structure of both measurement instruments. Based on these findings, age, digital background, and family socialization are all determining factors in the formation of motivations and attitudes related to artificial intelligence.
