Summary/Abstract: Velingrad continues to be a leader in spa and health tourism and has the potential to become a leading destination not only for balneological and health tourism, but also for cultural and historical tourism.Partnerships between local businesses and institutions, as well as strategies for sustainable tourism development, will continue to play an important role in establishing Velingrad as a preferred destination for tourists from around the world. At the same time, Velingrad must continue to adapt its offerings to the modern needs and demands of the market in order to ensure a stable future for tourism in the region.
