Summary/Abstract: In recent years the term "Brand Bulgaria" has been gaining popularity in political circles and the tourism industry. Due to its foreign origin, the term remains unclear to most people. Whether a more eloquent and understandable word for Bulgarian society could not be found in our rich Bulgarian language is a question I ask myself whenever a foreign word replaces something Bulgarian, native and full of meaning and content. I will leave this dilemma to my fellow philologists in this case, and I will try to give a shorter and simpler definition of the term "brand".
