Summary/Abstract: The aim of this article is to analyze the functioning of parliamentary immunity in Poland in the context of political practice. The article presents data on the number of motions to waive immunity and the actual instances in which immunity was lifted during the 7th, 8th, and 9th terms of the Sejm. Particular attention is given to the correlation between parliamentary decisions and MPs' party affiliations, as well as the status of their political group as either part of the ruling coalition or the opposition. The study applies a quantitative analysis method based on statistical data retrieved from the official Sejm website (sejm.gov.pl). The findings suggest a strong correlation between a party's political status and decisions concerning immunity, indicating a possible politicization of the institution.
