Summary/Abstract: In 2015, a new historiographic journal appeared, an annual intended for publishing source material, of two distinct types, both in form and content. The name of the journal reveals in a direct and simple way which sources are involved – INSCRIPTIONS AND NOTES (hereinafter: NiZ). In each of the previous three years, one volume was published, A4 format, on luxury paper and with illustrations (mostly) in color. The first issue was co-published by the Center for Historical Geography and Historical Demography at the Department of History of the Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade (hereinafter: CIGID), the Kruševac National Library and the Valjevo National Museum (published in Kruševac and Belgrade, 2015), and the second two volumes were published by CIGID, the Valjevo National Museum, the Srem Museum in Sremska Mitrovica and the Požarevac National Museum (published in Valjevo and Belgrade, 2016 and 2017).
