Summary/Abstract: At the time of the Serbian National Movement 1848–1849, there emerged a set of different documents that contained the elements of consitutional organization in Vojvodina. Among the most important constitutional projects there are articles written by Svetozar Miletić, the project done by Stefan Radičević and the project done by special constitutional board. In the paper, there is the analysis of the most important constitutional-legal concepts found within the projects and terms used therefore. These are national representation, national representatives and government. Constitution drafts give the Assembly its legislative authority, the general right to vote is provided as well, representatives have got immunity, and the government is accountable to the Assembly. As for the national representation, there could be established its connection to the people – church assembly, a permeation and intertwining of the traditional institution of religious and national life the Serbs had had in the Monarchy with new forms of political organization that had been desired. Although there was mentioning of the historical basis such as Austrian emperors privileges, constitutional drafts were primarily based on the liberal principles, natural civil rights, freedom, equality and equal rights. Constitution drafts in Vojvodina were somewhat influenced by the Constitution from the Principality of Serbia, since the Serbs from Austria had paricipated in its writing. Constitution drafts created at the time of the Serbian National Movement had a particular value as the first examples of clear principles, shaped in a constitution-legal form, of liberal and democratic thought with the Serbs. Thus, these drafts represent an important contribution to the development of liberal and democratic principles which would at least partly come into being in the subsequent development of the Serbian state, the Principality of Serbia.
