Summary/Abstract: During the last two decades of the 20th century and at the beginning of the 21st century, four monetary hoards composed only of imitation coins of the Alexander III-Philip III Arrhidaeus type were discovered, at Urluia, Ostrov, Hârșova and Floriile. The Urluia hoard consisted of 5 copies, the Ostrov hoard of 16 copies, the Hârșova hoard of 6 copies, and the Floriile hoard of 7 copies. Although it presents a small number of silver pieces, the respective hoards are the only such discoveries known for the Istro-Pontic space. Their clustering, generally towards the southwest of the Istro-Pontic territory indicates, on the one hand, the southern and southwestern direction of their diffusion direction. On the other hand, their penetration here suggests the presence of some centers of tribal military and political power in this part of the Thracian territory.
