Summary/Abstract: The history of the old Horaita Monastery in Neamț County, an old Moldavian foundation, a center of spirituality, was the subject of press articles after the appearance of mass media in the Romanian space. The press from the period 1880-1940 presented both the positive aspects, true travel diaries and invitations to visit and discover this place, and the less pleasant ones, from thefts, crimes, to plots and intrigues between monks or to the problem of its endowment with properties during the interwar period. A different history of this old monastery through the eyes of articles and news from the regional and national press.
