Summary/Abstract: The aim of this study was to analyze the role of distance education in developing the pedagogical competency of newly recruited professors in Algerian universities, focusing on government policies (such as Decisions 144 and 145 of 2024) and evaluating the effectiveness of digital platforms like “Ped@TIC”. The study relied on describing the effectiveness of distance education in both its theoretical and practical aspects and its impact on learners. A notable development in teaching methods was observed due to the employment of modern technologies in educational methodology, keeping pace with advancements in digital technology.
