Summary/Abstract: The Second Round That Never Came: A Brief Analysis of a (Hopefully) One-Time Electoral Moment is a sociological synthesis, as the author himself defines this book. He does not set out to clarify the situation, but rather to answer the legitimate questions that many fellow citizens have asked themselves in the wake of these presidential elections. Described as unprecedented, the 2024 presidential elections are nothing more than a convergence of factors resulting from the attitude of the local political class, the activities of the intelligence services, social media, the population’s constant dissatisfaction and distrust of state institutions, the system, and, last but not least, the studied and expected reactions from the expansionist power that has dominated the countries of Eastern Europe for a considerable period of time.
