Summary/Abstract: This study examines sectoral patterns of artificial intelligence (AI) adoption among enterprises in the European Union. Using official Eurostat data for the period 2023–2025, the analysis explores the extent and dynamics of AI diffusion across major economic sectors classified under NACE Rev.2. A descriptive and comparative analytical approach is applied, revealing pronounced intersectoral heterogeneity in adoption levels. Knowledge- and technology-intensive sectors exhibit substantially higher uptake of AI, while more traditional industries lag behind due to structural constraints related to digital infrastructure, skills availability, and organizational capabilities. The findings indicate accelerating AI diffusion across all economic sectors over time, accompanied by widening sectoral disparities. These results suggest that, without targeted policy interventions, existing digital divides between industries may deepen, potentially limiting the inclusive economic impact of artificial intelligence within the European economy.
