Summary/Abstract: The article explores contemporary understandings of safety in artistic practice through an analysis of publications developed within the project Bezpieczna przestrzeń. Dobre praktyki i narzędzia służące transformacji kształcenia teatralnego (Safe Space. Good Practices and Tools for the Transformation of Theatre Education) at The Aleksander Zelwerowicz National Academy of Dramatic Art in Warsaw. Focusing primarily on the anthology Nowe wrażliwości w sztukach performatywnych, teatrze i filmie. Skrzynka z teoriami (New Sensibilities in Performing Arts, Theater and Film. A Theory Toolbox), the article examines three key concepts shaping current theatrical and film practices: safe space, consent, and trigger warnings. These notions are discussed in the context of post-#MeToo transformations in Polish theatre education and institutional culture, with particular attention to the growing field of intimacy coordination. Rather than treating safety as a fixed or universal condition, the analysed publications frame it as a contested and processual category, shaped by power relations, risk, and responsibility. The article argues that the main value of the Safe Space publications lies in its dialogical and polyphonic structure, which brings together divergent theoretical perspectives and practical approaches.
