Summary/Abstract: The paper captures the factors causing the dynamics of contemporary Slovak stylistics in the context of Slavic stylistics. The logical outcome of methodological trends and current social demand has been found in the formation of the theory of inclusive stylistics, which, as part of interactional stylistics, focuses on dialogue and its relational aspect. Inclusive stylistics monitors how communicative behavior and language use (communicative and linguistic acts) are adapted in accordance with the criterion of inclusiveness, i.e., the requirement that none of the actors in communication should feel excluded, disadvantaged, or restricted. The distinction between linguistic style and communicative style builds onthe findings of traditional selective stylistics and communication theory on the relational, referential, self-presentational, and appellative aspects of communication. The concept of inclusive style is related to the related concept of respectfulstyle, which resonates in public discourse to emphasize that the broader concept of inclusive style also applies to types of speech interactions in which illocutionary acts may be in conflict with social goals in communication.
