Summary/Abstract: Modern democracy faces numerous challenges, ranging from populism and political polarization to a crisis of trust in state institutions. In this context, strengthening women's participation in political life is not only a moral imperative but also a fundamental condition for the functioning of an authentic and inclusive democratic system. The fair representation of women in politics brings diverse perspectives to the decision-making process, contributes to the development of more balanced public policies, and enhances the legitimacy of democratic institutions. Throughout history, women have demonstrated their ability to lead, negotiate, and drive essential societal changes. However, they continue to face systemic obstacles, from cultural and social biases to institutional barriers that hinder their access to decision-making spheres. To strengthen women's participation in political life, a combination of legislative measures and social initiatives is required. Gender quotas, the promotion of female leadership, support for work-life balance, and combating sexist discourse are just a few solutions that can contribute to a stronger presence of women in politics. A mature democratic system must reflect the full diversity of the society it represents. Without real and active participation of women in decision-making, democracy remains incomplete. Strengthening women's representation in politics is not only a fight for equality but also a crucial step toward more effective, fair, and representative governance.
