Summary/Abstract: Archival sources typically constitute the point for archaeological research and subsequently remain a valuable support. This is equally borne out in the case of the monastery of the Hagioi Pantes (All Saints) in Achaia, where the archival record, in multiple respects, functions as a productive research tool. This paper draws upon this archival corpus in combination with the archaeological evidence in order to address issues concerning the monastery’s architecture, its painted decoration, and the personality of its founder.
