Summary/Abstract: The author presents a fragment of the hoard discovered in 2008 in Ineşti, Teleneşti District, Republic of Moldova. The deposit is believed to have contained about 570 silver coins, all of the “same kind”. The hoard was buried at the root of a centuries old oak tree. Through the antiquities trade, the coins ended up in various private collections in Russia, Ukraine, Romania, etc. The author received 25 samples for study, collected from the surface of the site where the deposit had recently been discovered. The 25 coins discussed here are Tatar silver issues minted according to the type of those minted in Crimea in the name of Khan Tokta, bearing the Hegira year 690 (1291 AD). Most of the coins display a stylized and distorted legend. The catalogue of the coins from the hoard is presented below. The coins are grouped according to the elements that distinguish the various typological variants.
