Summary/Abstract: Normative inflation is one of the most significant structural issue of the contemporary welfare states and, therefore, of the juridical shape of their appearance ‒ the Rule of Law. In this study we will analyze, firstly, the dominant theories regarding the normative inflation and the shift of paradigm in its examination, in order to then refine some of the principles of the systemic restructuring required to counter it. One conclusion is going to stand out with clarity from this analysis: the normative inflation is also a question of effectiveness of the human rights, even though apparently is only about the structure of the normative and institutional system. To actually correct is, the human rights must become effective. Nevertheless, this means not only systemic and structural guarantees, but also a change in the way the subject itself values its rights and freedoms and assumes its exercise. Certainly, this revalorization supposes that the society stimulates the subjects, by the way their education is structured, the information is assured, their participation is achieved etc. Even so, human rights must firstly become effective in the eyes of the subjects themselves. If we take our one rights seriously, only then the society will temper the normative inflation.
