In memoriam Eugen Nicolae
In memoriam Eugen Nicolae

Summary/Abstract: On a Saturday, 28 September 2024, as dawn announced a beautiful autumn day, Eugen Nicolae passed away—numismatist and archaeologist, a complex and overwhelming personality, shaped by principles and an education belonging to another era. He departed with the feeling of having fulfilled his duty toward society and toward his great love, the “Vasile Pârvan” Institute of Archaeology, to which he devoted himself entirely for more than four decades, ultimately paying a heavy price: his own health.
