Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to show the specificity and diversity of vocabulary with an emotional and evaluative component based on the criterion of motivation understood as the phenomenon of incomplete arbitrariness of a linguistic sign and as the reason for the use of specific expressions by the sender. The analysis covered the lexicon, in which the carriers of evaluations and emotions are, on the one hand, transformations of linguistic signs based on mechanisms that cannot be modified by language users, and on the other hand, transformations that are not based on system rules and depend on the senders. The theoretical considerations undertaken made it possible to present a proposal for a typology of the analyzed lexis, taking into account the system- language use relationship.
