Summary/Abstract: The scientific topic of this paper is related to the degree of application of sports-preparatory games, for each of the four compulsory sports of the sports games, in the educational process of physical education and sport. Our main goal was to develop and present a sufficient number of sports-preparatory games, evaluated by expert teachers according to certain criteria, which would be applied in the future by teachers in a practical classroom environment. For the realization of the set goal, the main method used was an expert evaluation, made by teachers, experts in the field, evaluating according to five predefined criteria, directly tailored to the specificity of teaching and learning in school. Each game will be evaluated on whether the age-appropriate motor elements are consistent with the current curriculum; that the descriptions are scientific, accurate, clear, and understandable by those who practice them; that the games are adaptable to modifications and variations; that the games have a high performance workload and the ability to be adjusted; and that the games are appropriate for reinforcing basic sport-specific skills. The number of experts is 26, of whom 19 are men and 7 women, mainly teaching students from third to sixth grade. A 5-point grading scale was used in the expert card. Based on the set criteria and on the basis of the results and analyses, the strengths and weaknesses of the developed games have been identified, and some of them will undergo changes in order to increase their effectiveness, emotionality, variety and variability. Their applicability would positively influence both motor activity and the consolidation of lasting knowledge and skills about the types of sport. The implementation of sports-preparatory games in lessons would also influence teamwork, cohesion and moral-volitional qualities.
