Summary/Abstract: This article studies the journey and transformation of “Mannerism” as an architectural style related to the 16th century Italian architecture to “mannerism” – supra-style category of architectural form, relevant equally to classical and modern architecture and not bound to single territory or historical period. The text is simple and its objective goes beyond a simple review but to support further study of the subject of categories of the architectural form relevant equally to classical and modern architecture.
