Summary/Abstract: The dogmatic contradiction between Orthodox Church and almost all other Christian denominations about the type of bread used in the holy Sacrament of the Eucharist (Holy Communion) has existed for centuries. In the Byzantine tradition, only one practice invariably exists. It is based on the biblical narrative and the divine service that has begun since the time of the apostles. The cited examples from the Old and New Testament prove in an indisputable way the correct exegesis of the Holy Scriptures and the exact adherence to what was written in it by the Eastern Church.
