INNOVATIVE TECHNIQUES ON THE ACCORDION AS A MEANS OF EXPRESSING THE CONTEMPORARY ARTISTIC MESSAGE: FRAGILISSIMO ENTERA BY GORKA HERMOSA

Summary/Abstract: Gorka Hermosa is one of the most important names in contemporary accordion art, who has established himself in the international musical life not only through his rich activity as a virtuoso performer or through his books dedicated to accordion research, but also through the original compositions signed for this instrument, which are increasingly asserting themselves inall areas of contemporary music. One of these –”Fragilissimo Entera” (2000) – represents an example regarding the introduction and use of specific interpretation techniques for the accordion, which contribute essentially to reproduce or amplify artistic contents, to complete the compositional concepts of the work. The author of the article identifies these techniques, connectingthem to the message of the given creation, exemplifying through musical fragments.
