Summary/Abstract: The main objective of this study is to evaluate the mediating role of psychological flexibility in examining the relationship between perceived stress and depression in individuals who exhibit gambling behavior. A correlational model was used in the study. The study population consists of individuals residing in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus who exhibit gambling addiction behavior. The sample of the study consisted of 399 individuals exhibiting gambling addiction behavior, selected using purposive sampling. During the data collection process, the Socio-Demographic Information Form, South Oaks Gambling Screening Test, Perceived Stress Scale, Beck Depression Scale, and Psychological Flexibility Scale were used. The research findings revealed a positive relationship between participants' gambling levels and their perceived stress and depression levels, and a negative relationship between gambling levels and psychological flexibility. The study found that depression levels were positively predicted by perceived stress levels and negatively predicted by psychological flexibility levels. In light of these findings, it is suggested that interventions aimed at developing psychological flexibility and stress management techniques may be effective in reducing gambling behavior and depression levels.
