Summary/Abstract: Purpose: This study aims to examine the relationship between marital adjustment, conflict resolution styles, and demographic variables in married individuals. Specifically, it investigates the effects of factors such as age, gender, education level, marital status, and the duration of cohabitation with the spouse on marital adjustment and conflict resolution behaviors. Valid and reliable measurement tools were used to assess the quality of marital relationships and conflict resolution styles. Method: This is a descriptive, non-experimental study designed using a quantitative approach. The sample consists of data collected from 500 married individuals residing in a specific province. A demographic information form, the Dyadic Adjustment Scale, and the Conflict Resolution Styles Scale were used for data collection. Descriptive statistics, t-tests, analysis of variance (ANOVA), and correlation analyses were applied to analyze the data. Findings: The results showed that age and education level have significant effects on marital adjustment. Individuals with higher levels of education reported higher adjustment scores, and differences in adjustment were observed with increasing age. Additionally, significant gender differences were found in conflict resolution styles. The use of constructive and destructive conflict resolution strategies varied depending on demographic variables. Conclusion: The findings reveal that the demographic characteristics of married individuals influence their marital adjustment and conflict resolution styles. These results underscore the importance of considering demographic factors in couple therapy and marriage counseling practices.
