Summary/Abstract: Since its establishment, one of the main tasks of the Ethnographic Museum in Belgrade has been team and individual ethnographic research, with the aim of studying and collecting objects for the Museum’s collections. The results of all research are valuable for further study and monitoring of social changes, and the acquired objects are valuable for the preservation of cultural heritage, as well as for informing the public through thematic and study exhibitions. This time, the results of the research conducted from 2017 to 2022 will be presented. The basic topics were jewellery and decoration of the bride, as well as hygiene and cosmetics. During the research of these topics, in conversations with the local people, they often turned to the demographic structure and customary practice related to weddings and the birth of children, as well as customs from the annual cycle, so these results will be presented in this paper. The results of these surveys were supplemented by the results of individual surveys of Mačva conducted in the early 1990s, which enabled additional monitoring of changes.
