Summary/Abstract: This scientific presentation explores the changes in urban clothing in Shumen in the years following Bulgaria‘s Liberation. The dynamics of historical processes are traced, out¬lining the cultural aspirations of Bulgarians to integrate into a more developed and dynamic value system – the European one.
