EDITIONS OF THE MOUNTAIN WREATH IN THE 21ST CENTURY

Summary/Abstract: This paper provides an overview of the most important editions of The Mountain Wreath in the 21st century, categorized by the similarity of editorial approaches and scope. A wide range of forms in which this work has appeared is demonstrated – ranging from uncreative reprints of the text without any accompanying material to scientific-popular and critical editions. In this way, the author aims to open a new perspective for understanding the status of this poetic work in the contemporary moment of Serbian literature, education, culture, and identity awareness, and to present, based on the offered insights, the necessity of adequate efforts to open new possibilities of reception for bringing The Mountain Wreath closer to younger generations in our time.
