Summary/Abstract: The analysis aims to reveal what is the philosophy of the state policy in the regulation of the minimum wage and the maximum insurance income – establishing a balance in the interests of the interested parties and strengthening social security or ensuring higher revenues in the state social security system’s budget. Through specific examples, the conclusion is illustrated that increasing the social security burden in itself does not lead to more social security rights for insured persons, nor does it contribute to building trust in society towards the social security system. An attempt has been made to formulate specific proposals for changes.
