Summary/Abstract: We aim to demonstrate the absence of common boundaries established between the arts in the posthumous novel of the Colombian Nobel Prize winner. As research methods, we use the tools of General Rhetoric and interdiscursive analysis proposed by professors Antonio García Berrio, Tomás Albaladejo and Francisco Chico Rico, among others, and our work on Spanish and Latin American narrative and on the painting of Spanish masters. This last novel by Gabriel García Márquez represents a synthesis of artistic languages and the quintessence of his art, and we consider it his most valuable artistic legacy in terms of the confluence of the arts. Until August shows Gabriel García Márquez's great art of melting lead in the athanor of creation and transforming it into pure gold, in such a way that even eroticism is sublimated.
