Summary/Abstract: Prepositional formations with the component “depth” are studied, based on the status interpretation of the lexeme “depth” in the modern grammatical system of single-system languages, with the consistent establishment of their functional regularities of horizontal, vertical and internal landmarks in the establishment of prepositional derivatives, within which the lexeme «depth» loses its own substantiality to varying degrees. The material for the analysis is prepositional units with the component “depth” in modern Ukrainian, Belarusian, Russian and partly Polish languages, based on national-text corpora and ordered integral dictionaries of prepositions and their analogues (Ukrainian, Belarusian, Polish and partly Russian languages), which makes it possible to establish common and distinctive features in the implementation of directive-finish, directive-recipient, directive-landmark, dimensional-locative, dimensional-characterizer, dimensional-qualifier, dimensional-grader, etc., as well as the features of the synthesis of different semantics within different prepositional-derived formations.
