The Relationship Between Perceived Stress Levels and Achievement Orientations in Students

Summary/Abstract: The aim of the presented study is to determine the relationship between perceived stress levels and achieving high results by students. The study was conducted using the relational screening model, using a quantitative research method. This is an appropriate method for studying the relationships between variables. The study was conducted with a sample of 147 students from the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th year in the departments of Primary School and Preschool Pedagogy, at a state university. The relationship between stress and the attitude towards achieving certain results was studied. A factor analysis was conducted on the research questionnaire and the research variables. Correlation analysis was used to assess the relationship between the scales. A positive and significant relationship was obtained between two variables: perceived stress and attitude, achievement orientation. These relationships support the main statements of the study
