Summary/Abstract: This study aims to identify and contextualize the episodes mentioned in historical sources about the feasts attended by Michael the Brave either in Wallachia, Transylvania, or in exile in the Habsburg Empire. The relatively brief information contained in historical sources about such occasions, critically analyzed and corroborated with the internal context of Wallachia or Transylvania, but also integrated into the broader context of the Long War, can contribute to a better understanding of the relations between the Wallachian voivode and the representatives of the Habsburgs, of the relations with the Wallachian boyars or with the Transylvanian nobility. Also, based on the accounting records of some of the Transylvanian cities (Cluj, Bistrița, etc.), we refer to the costs incurred by these cities in providing food for Michael the Brave, his family, and his envoys, which were additional to the taxes imposed and the expenses for maintaining the army.
