Summary/Abstract: It was at the beginning of May, in 1971. Not allowed to remain in Iași, for reasons that I will one day have to recount, I was “dropped off” at the editorial office of the magazine Magazin Istoric two months before the official job assignments, with the assurance that at those assignments I would be formally requested—which is exactly what happened.
