Summary/Abstract: This paper explores the role of everyday, practical life activities as a key factor in the early development of mathematical concepts in preschool children. The focus is on the analysis of the cognitive specificities of children of this age, as well as the potential of these activities for the development of logical-mathematical thinking. The theoretical basis of the work includes modern psychological and pedagogical approaches, where Maria Montessori's method and the concept of situational learning are analyzed in particular. The paper relies on qualitative analysis of examples from practice and existing curricula. The possibilities of applying measuring, serial and classification activities in the function of early mathematical development are pointed out. It was concluded that the introduction of everyday activities into the educational process can encourage functional understanding of concepts, but that systematic pedagogical support and further empirical insights are necessary to confirm the effectiveness of the proposed approaches.
