Summary/Abstract: The aim of this study is to examine whether the attitudes of university students in Türkiye towards unemployment anxiety vary according to demographic factors using meta-analysis method. The high unemployment rate of 24.9% among university graduates in Türkiye makes this research important for policy making and developing educational strategies. In the study, Google Scholar, ULAKBİM, YÖK Thesis, Scopus, Web of Science academic databases were searched and 48 quantitative studies conducted between 2016 and 2024 for university students in Türkiye were identified. Forty-two studies examining the gender variable, 15 studies analyzing work experience and 17 studies analyzing grade level were calculated using Hedge's g coefficient. As a result of the meta-analysis conducted with the random effects model using the JASP program, it was concluded that gender and grade level (1st and 4th grade) did not have a significant effect on unemployment anxiety. However, it was found that students with work experience had lower level of anxiety than those without work experience. These findings suggest that practices such as internships and work experience are effective in reducing university students' unemployment anxiety. The study is expected to contribute to the literature as it is the first meta-analysis that systematically brings together the research on this subject in Türkiye.
