Summary/Abstract: The article examines the activities of the Shumen bookseller and bookbinder Iliya Petrov and is prepared on the basis of the bookseller’s personal archive. It includes inventory diaries and correspondence kept in the period 1921 – 1933. The presented report uses materials that are for the first time entering scientific circulation. The commercial ties and relationships between Il. Petrov and the companies with which he contacted are revealed. The personality of Iliya Petrov fully fits into the general picture of the bookselling and bookbinding business in Shumen.
