Summary/Abstract: There is a growing body of pedagogical literature analysing the phenomenon of quiet quitting. However, it does not refer to a complete resignation, but to a gradual withdrawal from excessive duties, a decrease in involvement in the work performed. The aim of this publication is to present the phenomenon of quiet quitting in the context of teachers’ work, to show its causes and possible consequences both for the educators themselves and for the whole education system, and to try to find potential solutions that may help counteract this phenomenon. This article presents the results of a survey conducted among 229 Polish teachers in the first half of 2025. They were carried out using the CAWI (Computer Assisted Web Interview) method allowing for reaching a wide research group. The data collected enabled a general characterisation of the phenomenon on the ground of a Polish school.
